Parking detection system using background subtraction and HSV color segmentation

Manual system vehicle parking makes finding vacant lots difficult, so it has to check directly the space. If many people do parking, then time needed for is very much or requires handle it. This research develops a real-time detect parking. The designed using HSV color segmentation method in determining background image. In addition, detection process uses subtraction method. Applying these two methods image preprocessing several such as grayscaling, blurring (low-pass filter). followed by thresholding and filtering get best process. process, there determination of ROI determine focus area object identified empty produces average accuracy 95.76%. minimum threshold value 255 pixels 0.4. from 33 test data criteria, capture, composition vehicle, shape shadow object’s environment, intensity light. can be implemented position an place.
